01Free Trial Period

Video Compliant offers a 14-day free trial. No payment is required during the trial period. Once you upgrade to a paid plan, this Refund Policy applies. Paid plans start at $19.99/month or $149/year.

02Eligibility for Refunds

When paid plans are available, you are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or subscription start date.
  • You are on your first purchase of Video Compliant (the guarantee applies once per customer).

After the 14-day window, refunds may be issued at our discretion in the following circumstances:

  • Service unavailability: Extended downtime or a critical defect that prevents the application from functioning as described.
  • Duplicate charges: Accidental or erroneous billing.
  • Unauthorized transactions: Charges made without your consent.

03How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

Step 3 — Processing

Approved refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment provider. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or payment method.

04Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will generally not be issued in the following cases:

  • Requests made more than 14 days after purchase (unless covered by the exceptions in Section 02).
  • Dissatisfaction due to changes in Zoom's platform, API, or retention policies, which are outside our control.
  • Failure to meet your expectations for features not described in our documentation or marketing materials.
  • Violations of our Terms of Service resulting in account suspension or termination.
  • Incompatibility with your system if minimum requirements were published and not met.

05Subscription Cancellations

If Video Compliant offers subscription-based pricing in the future:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you'll retain access until then.
  • We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods after the 14-day guarantee window.
  • Once cancelled, your account will revert to any available free tier or become inactive.

06Payment Processing

All payments and refunds are processed through Paddle, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means:

  • Paddle handles all billing, tax collection, and refund processing.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at purchase.
  • You may see "Paddle" or "Paddle.com" on your bank or credit card statement.
  • Currency conversion fees charged by your bank are not within our control and may not be refunded.

07Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will not affect refund requests already in progress. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
